Skagerack Tuesday 2010-08-03

57° 48,4´N 8°49,9´E 11:10 CET

The wind has rapidly increased. It is now coming from west and is over 20 kn. We decide to take 2 reefs in the main sail for a more comfortable sailing. The swell is increasing and is around 2 meters.

57° 42,1´N 8°33,8´E 16:00 CET

Quite tricky to sail clause hauled in these conditions. Difficult to keep the track and not loosing height against the wind who has now increased to close gale (24-26 kn). The swell is also increasing but not so much. The sky is blue and Unni and Mats needs some sun protection lotion. Not to bad.
